At around 4pm on Saturday 18 August, a man approached a parked vehicle on Morrell Way in Armadale. The man used an unknown object to remove both registration plates before leaving the scene.
Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
The man is described as: light skinned, slim build with long dark hair and facial hair. The man was wearing a flannel shirt over a black top, grey track pants and a black beanie.
