At around 11.15pm on Friday 2 August 2024, as the victim was walking up stairs to enter a licensed premises on Beaufort Street in Highgate, he bumped into a man who was part of a group of three men who were heading down the stairs. As the victim apologised, a second man in the group punched the victim five or six times to his face. The victim was treated at hospital for a broken nose and cuts to his face.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: white skinned, medium build, aged between 20 to 30 years of age with dark buzz cut hair and tattoos visible on the back of his neck and right forearm. He was wearing a grey jumper over a white t-shirt, black pants and white runners.
