At around 12.00am on Monday 27 May, the victim was watching a live soccer match at a licensed venue on Great Eastern Highway in Burswood. When the victim stood up and cheered, an unknown man approached him and pushed him. When the victim stumbled he was punched to the left side of his face. The unknown man was escorted off the premise by the woman he was in company with.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: medium build, light skinned, with dark hair and facial hair. The man was wearing a light shirt and dark pants.
