At around 3.40pm on Saturday 27 April 2024, as the young victim entered a large retail store on Joondalup Drive in Joondalup, he was approached by two males. One of the males asked the victim for his mobile phone, threatening to hurt the victim if he didn’t hand it over. The victim ran off with both males chasing after him until the victim sought assistance from a staff member in the checkout area.

Police have released CCTV images of two males who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first male is described as: brown skinned, slim build, wearing a black hooded jumper with black pants and black hair cover.

The second male is described as: white skinned, medium build with short blonde hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, navy blue shorts and black sneakers with orange shoelaces.
