At around 12.30pm on Sunday 5 May 2024, the victim was walking with her family outside a shopping centre on Abernethy Road in Cloverdale. The victim stopped to take a family photo and placed her handbag down on a bench nearby. After taking a few photos the victim discovered her handbag had been taken. A review of CCTV shows a man walk past the bench and take the handbag.

Police have released CCTV images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as: slim build, light skinned, between 40 to 45 years of age, receding hairline, short brown hair with a rat tail, goatee and tattoos visible on both arms.
